Motorised louvres
Rainwater runs through the blades and down inside the posts, so there is no visible run-off on the stone.

A terrace you use in February
The point of a bioclimatic roof is not shade. It is the months of the year your terrace sits empty: too hot, too wet, too windy, too bright. This is the room you already paid for, made usable.
Start with a roof. Add the rest later.
Lighting, ZIP screens, glazing and heating can be added after installation, and modules can be joined to cover larger terraces. We have delivered projects of more than 100 m² in Portugal.

Before you ask
How much does a bioclimatic pergola cost?
Bespoke projects start from €10,000. The final price depends on size, model and accessories, and a free consultation ends with a written quote for your project. Below that budget, a kit pergola from a retailer is the more sensible choice.
What is a bioclimatic pergola?
An aluminium structure with a roof of motorised louvres. The blades rotate to let the sun in, filter it, ventilate the space or close completely to keep the rain out. Water is drained through the blades and down inside the posts.
Who makes Solembra pergolas?
Solembra is a French manufacturer based in Bourg-en-Bresse. Conceptance is its exclusive distributor in Portugal and Andalusia, handling design, sales, installation and after-sales.
Where do you install?
Across Portugal from our offices in Lisbon and the Algarve, and across Andalusia from our office in Marbella.
Are they suited to coastal homes?
Yes. The structure is aluminium with a marine-grade, salt-fog tested finish, built for sea air. Our team advises on orientation and fixing for each site.
What accessories are available?
LED lighting, motorised ZIP screens, sliding glass walls, decorative panels, heaters, misting, audio, and rain and wind sensors that close the roof automatically.
Do you work on commercial projects?
Yes: restaurant and bar terraces, hotels, pool areas and solar carports.
